The DATEV-Stiftung Zukunft is providing substantial financial support and practical expertise for the research project on “Feelings of inclusion in virtual work environments”, led by Luisa Wicht, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Dirk Holtbrügge. In this project, we collaborate with Sina Kraus, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Marion Festing from ESCP Business School Berlin.

The nature of work has undergone significant changes since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, marked by a notable shift towards remote work and virtual working environments. This new form of collaboration presents specific challenges in fostering “feelings of inclusion” – a feeling of appreciation and belonging within teams. Through an empirical study, we are investigating these feelings of inclusion among team members in virtual settings. This research allows us to derive best practices for companies, actively contributing to a more inclusive work environment.
